My name is Holly. I created this blog to document my now 4 year-old daughter Jailynn's journey with ACC, cortical dysplasia, and epilepsy. Also her brain surgery (hemispherectomy)and recovery.

February
Jailynn is now scheduled for hemispherectomy on Feb 5th 2009. i am not happy that its february but it is going to have to work out hopefully with lots of support from family and friends
We had our surgery rescheduled too. We were as mentally prepared as you can be for such a huge thing, and then they call and say, "Let's do it on "x" date." After you get all your family and work arrangements made, etc., "Hope you don't mind that we have to turn your life upside down, again". It's hard, for sure, but somehow, you pull it together and make it all work. We're thinking of you here in Boston, and wish you the best!
